The Power List Worksheet

Thanks so much for trusting me. As someone with ADD, it doesn't take much for me to feel completely overwhelmed often or to jump from project to project. I run multiple businesses and manage employees, and it gets to be too much sometimes. Anytime I'm running in circles and can't seem to get a plan in place, I know it's time to get the thoughts out of my head and organize one task at a time. That's why I created this brain dump worksheet and I want to share it with you.

How to Use the Worksheet

The first place I start when I get overwhelmed is a brain dump. It's pretty simple. Get ALL of those thoughts out of my head and onto paper. I just write them in order as they come to me. It doesn't need to be organized, the thoughts and clutter in your brain just need out of your head and onto paper. Once everything is out, I start organizing them by priority.

  • Priorities - AKA this needs to be done and will make my life easier
  • Up Next - It needs to be done, but can wait a few days (or weeks)
  • Can Wait - Yeah, this stuff still needs to be done, but it's lowest in priorities today

What I like to do is grab three highlighters, and start color-coding what I feel needs done NOW, what needs done SOON and what can WAIT. Once I color code them, I write them in order of priority in the right hand column. This allows me to visualize everything I'm trying to get done and create a realistic plan.

Sometimes I do this once a week, sometimes I do this once a day. There's no right or wrong. This is just one of the many tools I use to help simplify and organize my life. I truly hope it helps you, too!

XOXO,
Angie
